Design better, together.
I believe great design is the sum of a thousand tiny decisions, guided by deep curiosity, informed perspective, and intense collaboration. I've been in numerous situations where I've had to create culture change in order to up-level design quality, and I do what it takes to break down barriers and guide teams toward original solutions that solve real problems.
Breaking down research barriers
During my time as Design Lead for Epic’s Patient Experience suite of products, I was able to shift the culture away from the perception that user research and testing was a time-consuming process. I created a volunteer-based research pool and grew it over 200 participants in the first year.
From waterfall to design sprints
At the time I was working in a culture where "design just makes things look pretty." I knew we had more value to bring earlier on in the project lifecycle, so, taking inspiration from companies like Google, I organized, led, and evangelized design sprints across my department consisting of over 300 employees.
Getting to great design at scale
I led an effort to create a design system for MyChart, Epic's flagship product suite used by over 150 million people to get and stay healthy. Within its first year, the system had robust documentation for over 20 components and patterns, including an interactive redesigned icon library.
No stranger to scale.
I thrive in scrappy fast-paced environments where the rules are yet to be written. Throughout my career, I’ve played a key role in growing, leading, and adapting design teams through hyper growth stages.
As designer #13, I helped grow our design practice to over 30 designers in 5 years. As the lead UX designer for our Patient Experience division, I learned how to produce quality design solutions at scale as my team ramped from 30 to 150 engineers in less than 3 years. I introduced and scaled design sprints, operationalized user research, and led the charge for our first design system and icon library.
JUN 2014
I joined Snapdocs back in Aug 2020 as the 4th member of the design team. Since joining, I've invested heavily in our hiring and onboarding processes and helped scale the team from 4 to 13 in less than a year. I've led design and helped define roadmaps for three new strategic product areas as the business and company continued to grow dramatically fast.

I have experience building products – both responsive web and native applications – for a wide range of devices and platforms. Each new platform I've designed for has pushed my skills to a new level.
